Art was just something that has been a part of my life from youth, and that over the years have learned a few things and techniques. I have had no formal training in art aside from grade and high school classes. Save for taking anatomy and physiology for medical students in community college, I used the lab work as a place to fine tune my understanding of structure of peoples and animals.
Initially I hand painted shirts at MGM costumes (thanks to a friend of mine who knew them - circa 1990). At NORMCA (New Orleans Responsible Museum of Contemporary Arts ) I was in a two artist show ( circa 1994). Twice I had a one-artist show at a home on Garfield, Audubon Park (1990's). At Barrister's I exhibited in (Andy Antipas)(circa 1994 thru 1996). At Positive Space, on Magazine, I participated in a 3 artist show (owners Jonathan Ferrara and Troy [Clock])(circa 1996). PELIGRO had art for a few years but no shows there (Michael & Betsy Martin)(circa 1999-2005).
Briefly I had showed at Barrister's Zeitgeist (2005 circa). I painted a few murals and various projects over time (including wood sculpture and various 2 dimensional). I’ve created nothing really since 2006 except a few paintings and projects. Recently I joined Jefferson Art Guild is to see the demos, to learn something new and to at least try to find the joy again in doing art.
